How to make kids shoes last

What magic spray or product do you use to make your kids weekday and school shoes last? Velour, suede and leather tips will all be accepted.
Help a mother out please.

Leather can be polished, suede can be brushed and brought back to life, but velour once it’s scraped is there anything to be done?

Idk... are there any preventative sprays to do prior?

Suede you can use spray protection for prevention- they are great. Definitely use.

Leather doesn’t need prevention protection I don’t think.

Suede can be brushed? What does that do?

I have navy (and white) suede shoes for my son for shabbos.
The color is really fading.
If I would brush it with a suede brush, Is there anything I can use to restore the colour?

I’m in the uk but I would get whatever brand a reputable shoe repair shop were selling. Maybe others where you live have recommendations.

I don't think you can expect much durability from velour shoes for kids.

My kids velvet shoes have lasted the nicest of all. I brush it with a shoe brush to clean it. I never had the velvet rubbing off. They have velvet shabbos shoes every winter & it lasts really well throughout the season.
