This was a very good variant of because of the addition of the shiitake which are much more flavorful than the regular mushrooms.

I didn't have shiitake powder so I adjusted the proportions of the mushrooms with more shiitake mushrooms and less white mushrooms.

This is a rich soup so I just served with salad and a good crusty bread

ETA - I always puree soup with my stick blender rather than transferring to a blender which is messy and creates additional stuff to wash.
