So it does look like a non drivers ID can also be the enhanced version. But I've looked all over online and the DMV never picks up. Here's my question. If I'm first applying for my DC for a non drivers ID, can they get an enhanced version. Or do I first need to get it, then separate time upgrade?

Thank you! I guess I cannot make an appt because the options were separate and when I picked both it didn’t allow an appt. Also then they can guide me what forms I’d need so I guess it’s fine. Also then I’m Uber confused about what forms of ID he’ll need as well as me being the parent. Since I see a lot of info but none cover this specific scenario. Maybe I’ll just bring everything he’s got. Passport. Social. Birth certificate. And then I think maybe my enhanced license? Anything else?

You can request an enhanced right away. Pretty sure though you need more points/documentation for an enhanced. Check online what forms you need. I didn't have everything I thought I need for dd and had to go back.
