DH is very intellectual type and retreats when overwhelmed. I am more emotional and when I get overwhelmed I can raise my voice and get emotional.
We have very challenging ND children. I do 90% of the parenting but sometimes it's really hard and I feel like I'm losing it and not ok. I try to get DH to step in but he just freezes when the kids have meltdowns. The kids tantrum and then he just freezes and then I need to deal with them.
I really need him to step into his authority as a parent, but he just freezes. When we talk about parenting he has all kinds of wonderful ideas but practically he doesn't come through.
Is there anything to do about this?
How can I encourage him to step up confidently?
It's not about methods, he has all the ideas in the world, it's about doing it.

We are powerless over other people's behavior.
