DH has expensive new Ecco shoes and I think they’re moldy or something. I guess it got wet in the rain and didn’t dry completely?
Is it kaput or can we get rid of the smell?

I have put bicarbonate of soda into leather shoes that smelled and it helped.
I assume Ecco is leather just like Geox

Baking soda OR charcoal OR Lysol spray OR rubbing alcohol. The latter two will kill both odors and the organisms that cause them. Thereafter, stuff shoes with newspaper any time they get wet, changing the paper when it grows damp.
