Hi!! I hail from OOT and have a family simcha in Lakewood early September! It’s my niece so I need something nice to wear. Can I wear black at that time of year?? Or should I look for something lighter and floral??
Help!! It’s in a few weeks!!

I disagree...there is color but there will always be those in black. It's classic and always goes. Even when we do a family color scheme at Lakewood weddings there are always a few ladies who stick to black.
Talking from a very classy, balebatish Lakewood family.
