I'm looking for a gift for my 5 and a half year old dd B"H.

She asked me for a toy phone a long time ago. Not the toddler kind, she's too old for that.

I looked on amazon and there's such a thing as a "kids smartphone". No phone capabilities obviously, no internet obviously.

It has a camera (which she already has), and lots of apps and games.

I really don't want to get this for her. She already has an ipad and I don't really want to give her a toy that will increase her screen time.

So I'm looking for something else she would like.

She already has tons of toys.

I bought her in the past a makeup kit which she loves, and one of those things with the purse and the keys.

She loves art but she has lots of arts and crafts stuff already.

She doesn't really like playsets, or little people or dollhouse stuff.

Please help with ideas!

(And if anyone has those kids smartphones and wants to weigh in, I'd be interested to hear thoughts and opinions).

Thanks

What about something different? Can you take her to get her nails done, go on a special trip, or go get a delicious dinner with her?

I really like these ideas, thank you!

I just remember she once asked for an electric pop it. Is that a quality toy?

I ordered one for 20 shekels on aliexpress - it lasted about 2 or 3 months.
By that time my kids were a little bored of it anyway.

I don't know if the brand name is higher quality than the cheap ones, but it's a lot of fun and hopefully electronic enough to satisfy her wish for handheld electronic (a phone it is not, but at 5 years old she isn't getting a phone anyway)

I don’t know if they sell these where you live, but if you can find it it’s worth it. My kids are obsessed with it. I don’t let them use it outside so it’s an indoor rider.

I bought my dd a camera that prints immediately on receipt type paper. The paper is cheap. And you can buy sticker paper. And there is no ink to run out. So she can print endlessly.
It is only black and white.
They are cheap and the quality is questionable. We went through a few on Amazon that broke until we got our current one that is going strong. It could be if you spend more on the camera or will be better?

I but the paper on temu for really cheap.

If your five year old already has a Camara, impad, make up etc what are you going to give him when she's 15?
I'm not trying to be rude but if you give so much to kids when they are that little you are going to have to keep upping the game. An electric pop it sounds like an age appropriate simple gift.
