If it doesn’t say it’s pas yisroel…it’s not pas yisroel…

I don’t think anything Trader Joe’s is pas Yisrael, it’s not a Jewish company.

Oat milk isn't from an animal - it is from plant.

What does that have to do with pas Yisrael?

Some things are. Baguettes with MK. Babka. Some breads (northern region has more than south. Some say pas yisroel on them)

No. The frozen chocolate oat popsicles are fine though

Not necessarily is it written on the label. You need to check with the hechsher on the label. I know of a few trader joe's products, like certain breads, that don't say pas yisroel on the label, but if you look on the hechsher's product lists, it is listed as pas yisroel.

Because the process of obtaining milk from an almond or oats is like makng soy sauce from soy beans or tofu.

It isn't "milk" - it just is called milk as a marketing tool instead of white liquid.

That still has nothing to do with pas Yisroel. Sounds like you’re confusing it with cholov yisroel.

It does! She's asking about the wafer part of the sandwich which is made from wheat so yes it would have to be pas yisroel. It's most likely not though

We’re talking about the sandwich part though, not the ice cream

I understand that op is asking about the wafer part. It’s the poster talking about almond milk that doesn’t understand that. She thinks op is asking about cholov Yisroel.

The other poster you replied to was saying that the oat milk used to make the ice cream has nothing to do with the question of whether the ice cream sandwiches are you pas yisroel.

1. TJ's doesn't actually manufacture anything. It's a supermarket private label
2. Plenty of non Jewish owned companies are certified pas Yisrael. Many breads sold under the stop and shop brand including hot dog and hamburger buns are certified pas Yisrael

As I said above, very cool. Is there some sort of list? How do you know what you can buy?

Someone should add a psa about what pas yisrael means and what chalav yisrael is and they’re not the same thing. Someone’s mixed up and it’s mixing up the thread.
