I definitely have ADD and my house is flying.
I always see dirt on the floor and walls. Dishes in the sink. Overflowing hamper of clothing. Clean clothing not folded or sorted.
Some dinner out from the night before.
I don't cut my kids nails ona regular basis and they prob bathe less than normal.
They always have clean clothing and food to eat. (Not noodle soup or nosh).

I always assumed this was due to my untreated ADD, HOWEVER, can I just be overwhelmed?
I get home with the kids at 4:15. Then there is making dinner, homework, attention to the kids, bathing, pj's, bedtime.
How can I actually get the rest of the house sorted? Even without the ADD.

Oh honey! Welcome to the club. All the responsibilities we mommas live with can be overwhelming. When we throw disordered executive functioning in, its like we must get the same things done that our neighbors/sisters/cousins/etc get done - in the same way they do- while walking through molasses.

I have learned to do the best I can and let the rest go -yes, our house tends more to the messy side. Some nights it's open cans for dinner. Some days its borrow your brothers shirt until the laundry gets done. But there are smiles, hugs, music for all.
