We just moved to a small area in Monsey from Flatbush. In Flatbush I had school vouchers only for the past year that they raised the income limits. I am looking into playgroups and being qouted 1000 a month!!!!!! Most of the women around me are not working . How are they paying these prices? The vouchers gave me a bit of breathing room as a hardworking middle class family. My question is two fold. 1- Is there school vouchers in Monsey? Can they be transfered? Who do I call?
2- Is 900/1K a month a normal price? that means I need to put in quite a few extra hours to cover that cost. Please advise. Thank you so much

How old is your child?
There isn't a voucher system here but there are a few daycares if you qualify.
1k is expensive unless that's for longer hours.
Most range from 500-800

Thank you for your response. Child is two years old. What are my options? I still go back to nyc every day as I couldnt find a job locally. For another child I am quoted 12K for the year . This is not for. a modern school like Ashar its for a Cheder. How are people paying these prices? Can you please tell me more about the daycare system? What are the qulifacations? We generally dont qualify for anything so Im not holding my breath but I have no idea whats normal whats not. Thank you
