Any nice dairy restaurants upstate? Maybe with outdoor seating or something interesting to make it a nice outing?

Starlight maybe? I think they rebranded or something so I'm not sure how it is now but a couple of years ago it was a nice dairy restaurant and the seating area overlooks a beautiful lake.
Be aware that sushi Tokyo is literally only sushi. I wouldn't call it a dairy restaurant. Unless something changed, again my info is from a couple years ago.
Simply sushi has a much more robust menu but can't really call it a restaurant. They have a nice outdoor seating area but it's on a main road, you don't get the ambience of starlight Marina. It's good for getting together though because the food pretty much covers everyone's preferences except meat.

Starlight has since moved and isn't overlooking the lake anymore.
Mendelsons pizza has a nice place in Lock scheldrick. Also there is Citrus.

Boat Cafe isn't dairy, it's parve, overlooking the lake and has boating. It shares premises with sushi tokyo

What's the price range there? Did you notice if there are decent menu options that aren't too dairy? (Sensitive but not allergic. Some dairy places have a lot of parve and some have none)

Cafe price range. IIRC pastas and salads around 18, individual pies 20, fish in the 30s.
They had a number of breakfast specials and fish dishes parve that make a full meal.

Bourbon Cafe is where starlight used to be? You can take out a boat there?

Starlight is now bourbon. Not near water.

The kosher garage is an outing. Ice cream. Games etc. Also do food.
