Hi,
I remember learning a beautiful song when I was in Bais Yaakov and cannot remember all the words. I believe it was an original song a girl made up and I would love to teach it to my daughter. It was a dialogue between a king and his daughter, a mashal to a Jewish girl and Hashem. Here are some snippets I remember, "To my father...........people mock me...."My dear daughter......don't you know brass glitters more than gold?" The refrain is, "Because you're a princess, daughter of the king"I really cant remember much but I have the tune in my head and if someone can help me find the song, I would so appreciate it!

To my princess, to my beloved child
Daughter of the king, born of royal blood
There’s a story, of centuries of glory
Before your eyes do you realize
It’s your own life
I know it’s hard to stand apart
I watch you silently from afar
But know my child you walk with grace
True beauty shines from a hidden place
Someday you’ll be a noble queen
With royal children of purity
And you will guide each one to find
The golden treasures of dignity
Because you’re my princess, daughter of the king
To my father, master of all kings
Life has taught me things aren’t what they seem
People mock me as I uphold your glory
Today brass glitters better than true gold
Sometimes it’s hard to stand apart
I try to cherish within my heart
To guard so dear, a diamond rare
Isn’t there anyone who will care
Although they spite I must ignite
A spark of beauty within this night
A quiet word, a thoughtful dress
Conveys message of deep respect
Because I’m a princess, daughter of the king
I’m a princess, Hashems beloved child
Daughter of king born of royal blood
There’s a story of centuries of glory
Before my eyes, I realize
It’s my own life
Someday I’ll be a noble queen
With royal children of purity
And I will guide
Each one to find
The golden treasures of dignity
Because I’m a princess daughter of the king.
