Median means that half the households make more than that amount and half make less.

Lots of households have incomes of at least $100,000 or more in affluent NJ suburbs - households often have two incomes so it doesn't take much for two people to make $100,000 per year

It would be interesting to know what median income in Lakewood is

NJ is one of the richest states. I'm surprised it's so low.
