What am I missing that ppl use party planner?

What am I missing that ppl use party planner? | If you're Chasidish, I'm assuming you aren't doing a Shabbos event. I found that Shabbos is WAY more complicated. For just a bo Bayom, you can do it without a planner, depending on how much decor and "frills" you are aiming for.
I think the biggest things you forgot on your list are all the items for your son- clothing, hat, shoes, etc. And tefillin! His speech, who else is speaking, etc.
Optional, but you might want paper invitations and benchers.
Gown/dress totally depends on your circles and what you prefer.
