What gate should I get for the top of a staircase?
I see a mesh one on Amazon, is it a good one?

Not mesh! At the top of stairs it needs to be solid and screwed into the wall. A pressure mounted gate can fall down if someone leans on it hard enough which is not a huge deal in a hallway but at the top of stairs would be a disaster, G-d forbid.
