My sister just turned 21 and she went or was supposed to go to Atlantic City. I'm not sure what I did, but I know that I didn't gamble and drink. I did go to Las Vegas once and spent a quarter and lost it . I wasn't feeling well when I was there, so that's my excuse.

I spent my 21st birthday pregnant and not feeling well.
wait a sec- that was my 22nd birthday...
when I was 18 I bought a lottery ticket.
When I was 21... I had no interest in drinking (legal age for drink in USA). so I don't know what I did.

ok- now I remember my 21st birthday. Dh pretended that he was going to propose that day and gave me 2 dozen roses - half white, half red. But didn't propose. He waited 3 days after to propose. To throw me off.

I was in college. My boyfriend took me out for this huge dinner. I still remember what I ate. I'm old, so that's something.

My husband took me to Lake Michigan and gave me a cake from the bakery (he ordered white cake but got chocolate cake) and then we took a little stroll by the lake.
It was really nothing, we were in a rush but he needed to do something...

I was married, my husband took me out to this amazing restaurant and ordered champagne. I didn't go on a drinking binge or anything, had no desire to (unlike most of my friends...)

I was in a really bad mood because I was niddah unexpectedly... Then I went to the dentist and had a tooth filled, which made my mood worse...but for supper we went to my parents and it was really nice.

For a few years before my 21st birthday I started making grandiose plans and thinking about what I would want to order to drink since I would be able to finally order my own drink
It never occurred to me that what I would be pregnant (or even married) at the time. My birthday is always in the middle of finals/end of the semester crunch but my husband and I did have a date night a week later.

Its funny, when I was engaged and going to dh's house for shabbos I drove over to the frum wine and liquor store to find something to buy to bring. So I picked out my purchase went up to the counter to pay. The guy behind the counter says "Are you 21?" I answered "almost"
duh
I had to leave with nothing. Someone else had to go back and pick up what I chose.
