I would like help with replicating duck sauce with minimal ingredients using peach/plum jam as the base. (Just like original duck sauce)
I already made the jam, but want to make it taste more like duck sauce for dipping ( though the jam itself is amazing on chicken as well)
Since the original duck sauce is made with fruit jam, vinegar, chili pepper, and ginger….I wish someone would help me figure out the substitution.
So I made peach/plum jam with lemon and sugar…
Then I can grate in some ginger….some more lemon juice…and maybe some peeled jalapeños pepper?
I use very limited ingredients…no garlic or most processed food/ unpeeled veg….
Can anyone help?

While it’s not bad it’s not the real thing.
It’s a good sauce, but just not a peachy jammy duck sauce..
