I, and every therapist I know would be thrilled with $25! Lol even with $5! But if you can't afford it please don't give it. Write a note and you can put it with a chocolate bar or something small and I would be just as happy.

My most meaningful gifts have been chocolate bars or a muffin or a coffee with a beautiful picture or note. Personally I feel guilty and uncomfortable when I get lavish gifts from families I know can’t really afford it. You don’t need to kiss up to me. I work with your child because I care about them. Showing you value my work is best accomplished by words not by gifts.

I don't expect anything. Don't worry about it. And I definitely don't treat kids differently depending on whether or not parents give me gifts. I get my salary and that's all that's coming to me.

I'm a therapist working with kids. 25 is very generous and I would hate for you to give what you don't have. I got a chocolate bar with a card and I really appreciated it. Money is nice but please don't feel pressured.
