I just realized that my car registration expired a year ago. Am I allowed to drive before I renew it?

Legally no. And you can get a ticket for expired registration technically not even driving, like parked in your driveway if a cop happened to pass your house and look up your plate.
But it takes about 5 minutes to renew online.. put in your info, pay the fee and they will give you a pdf to keep showing proof of renewal until they mail the actual paper

If you dont have your renewal form, click that you dont have a pin and it will ask for more info to get you one
