I was telling my 5 year old while he was getting ready for bed, that I have to give him medicine b/c he has a little fever. I took off his sneakers and saw that it has a mouth, the front is falling apart. He has other shoes, but loves those, so he insists on wearing them, even in its lousy condition.
I said to him, "ds, I don't understand how you can wear them, it's sick". His response, "let's give it medicine"  .
