did you try letting her look in a mirror while you attempt to cut? try a video or cut a siblings hair to let her get the idea.
or use an elastic band.

rewards, rewards, rewards
(ie bribes)
I let my kids flush it down & we say: bye, bye, extra hair!!
They even let each other flash down their hair when they're in a generous mood

it's probably scary for a 2 year old to see someone cutting their hair-especially bangs with the scissors so close to her face.

I don't know if you ever got your two yr olds hair cut but if you didn't you can do what I did and I took her to the beauty parlor or shaitel macher like mommy goes and had her hair cut/banges trimmed

can you just put the bangs back in a clip (or head band) and let them grow out? or did you want her to have bangs? or does she refuse to wear things in her hair

Well I did it..... straight yep, . She looks adorable, ofcourse she's mine
What I did was bribery like someone on this post told me, then I cut boys hair in front of her thanks for that other suggestion though she too wanted me to use the razor.... don't worry I didn't! And then slipped hair thru my fingers and would you believe it gave her a ruler cut my husband and myself for that matter was impressed and she looks adorable with long hair and thin bangs in front of her high forehead! Just in time for wedding, Thanks everyone!!!!

wow worked out great for you! Congrats on getting your toddler's hair straight, even for a hairdresser that is hard.
