Hi
My daughter went to seminary but it seems to not be working out
She loves Efrat
Is there a seminary for girls who are similar?
I'm not sure exactly what to ask
Religious girls who are not too much to the right

I hope I'm describing it well
Please no one get offended if I'm not
Thank you

I don’t understand you at all. Maybe because I don’t travel in BY circles?

I have friends who moved to Efrat-as in the city of.

What is not working about seminary?
What does and like?
Where does she want to be? What does she want to do?

Efrat is a city with a range of hashkafas, but could broadly be described as dati leumi. Is that the mind of environment she is looking g for?

Maybe she should look at Nishmat's Shana b'Aretz programme. It's a serious learning programme. Not for someone who just wants to play around.

There are always a few girls who switch from one seminary to another, but it might not be easy to get accepted at this time of year.

Nishmat doesn't have a program for bnot chutz la'aretz this year. They are regrouping and opening it again next year.

Is Efrat the name of a seminary or does she mean the town? There's no seminary in Efrat itself. Right nearby is the midrasha at Migdal Oz, but it's run like a yeshiva - hard core Gemara, complete with night Seder. A wonderful place, but unlikely to work for a Bais Yaakov girl with no Gemara background.

I don't see that OPs daughter is a BY girl necessarily.
Migdal oz might be good for her if she has good Hebrew, or is there an American program there?
Or perhaps OP's DD just likes Efrat because she likes open minded dati leumi hashkafa - maybe she doesn't have to be in a seminary in Efrat itself, but similar style - Michlala, MMY, Tiferet, Shalavim,...

Thank you for the information
I meant city of efrat
She was in Rabbi Shlomo Katzs shul
She loved it!
Inot looking for a Bais Yaakov seminary
I wasnt there but knowing my daughter, she'd like a place with
Open minded, religious, authentic girls who want to be sincere. Not fancy clothing etc
Not looking for gemara type of place
Any ideas?

Yes thats what I'm trying to describe
Definitely not a bais Yaakov type of school
Can you please tell me more about Tiferet, Shalavim etc?
Also, she specified that the teachers and staff of the school should be the same as the girls

I don't know much about them, we just sometimes have seminary girls round for shabbos and they tell me about all these seminaries.
You'd have to ask people with girls there now.

What I can tell you is Tiferet is in Ramat Bet shemesh, all the teachers live there and are dati-leumi/ YU type Rabbis and female teachers. And they take very good care of the girls - host them for shabbat/chagim if needed, etc. I get the impression it's not such a high academic level but the girls love it and get a good experience.

Shalavim is somewhere in Jerusalem possible near Malha. MO girls. Don't know much more.

But PLEASE speak to people who have girls there, don't rely on me.

She should also look into Midreshet Lindenbaum (not the Gemara track) MMY, and maybe HaRova. Shaalavim and Midreshet Moriah trend a little more right wing, but do have some of the warmth she might enjoy.

Where did she go to high school and where is she now? I can understand that those might identify her, but if you give us a sense of where she is religiously/sociologically and academically, that might get you more targeted suggestions.

So there are no seminaries in Efrat. Efrat is Dati Leumi. And Ive heard wonderful things about this new Shlomo Katz shul/community.
So you are looking for MO/DL sems? There are so many.

I'm not looking for a seminary in efrat
I'm looking for a seminary where the Hanhala AND girls are more to the left but religious, serious, solid and with a out of town feel
Not too academic but where she'd get hashkafa, halacha and true friendships

Thank you very much

OP, I am so impressed with you. So wonderful to really see your daughter and her strengths and who she is and help her.

Amother Yolk's post is a good one to start with. If you're willing to make a call, I would reach out to a school somewhere near you that serves girls to the left of where you are, about where you're looking for, and ask for help. Their seminary placement person, or their principal, will likely be thrilled to help you. And they have relationships with these schools that can really help everyone involved.
