We don’t have a microwave. Should we just buy ready made and forget it?
Also if if does defrost somehow can I use baby carrots instead of a regular carrot to cook along with the fish?

Take it out of its package and place into a ziploc bag. Place the bag in a large bowl or cold water (yes cold). It will defrost in about 40 minutes (if stuck together).
If you want it to go faster, after 15 minutes you can separate the slices, and them place back into the ziploc (not touching) and back into the cold water. Separated slices go very quickly.
