We are having lunch guests this shabbos and I'm not sure what to make. Anyone have any simple shabbos lunch ideas? We haven't had guests in a while so I feel a little rusty. The last time we had guests over, my sister in law made most of the food, and I'm not even going to attempt to cook like her. She's a gourmet cook who's food is out of this world, and she doesn't mind a patchka. I can only dream of cooking like her, but I don't like to patchka 😬

First course can be eggs and liver or salmon or gefilte fish. Serve with 3 non- lettuce salads, chummus, tomato dip
Second course can be choulent, schnitzel/ baby chicken/ London broil, deli, apple crisp, potato/noodle Kugel, string beans or lettuce salad.
Dessert can be fruit or ices or cake and cookies
Feel free to mix and match. The choices are pretty standard. If you want to be fancy, you can arrange the sliced chicken, meat, and deli on a wooden board and put a small bowl of mustard and one of tiny pickles and call it a meat board.
