what do you serve your kids for dinner shabbos afternoon?
I usually do macaroni, with ketchup/cheese and fresh veggies, but im getting tired of it. im looking for a variation. waiting till after shabbos to make something fresh, is too late for the little ones.

These days we eat shalashudis(how do you spell that?) around 5. Its perfect time for my kids supper. They have challah dips, tuna salad, hard boiled eggs, and veg salad.
In the summer they eat before we wash so they have pasta, yogurt, cereal or any of the above options.

Usually sandwiches with cut veggies and fruit. Sometimes hard boiled eggs if I didn’t serve any at the meal.

- I realize not everyone kids eat fish but my kids bh I like salmon so often I'll bake a few peices on Friday and they will have it for Sat night.
- If they ate a large lunch I may do yogurt w filling fruits like bannana and some cheese. I've skipped cheese and served non dairy yogurt when they are still fleishig. Oh and sometimes unsweetened peanut butter or cashew butter w rice cakes w the yogurt.
- sometimes I grill chicken cutlets erev shabbos and I will slice it up and serve it w some veg
- whole wheat pita (chummus/tehina) w Israeli salad.
