Hi everyone!

Based on the other thread, I was thinking I should crowdsource some ideas. I want to get better at hachnosas orchim, and I was wondering if anyone can tell me something that really really made them feel special and happy when they stayed at someone's house.

For me, our hosts put out milk and coffee and sugary Shabbos cereal for our family and our kids for shabbos!

Making sure there is a clock, mirror, and shabbos lamp in room. Also, putting water bottles and a hand towel in the room.

Percolator/coffee paraphernalia.

Really clean accommodations.

Best part was the genuine smile on my hosts face. I could see she really was glad having us.

I recently got bigger beds in my guest room. I also put in better lighting and ceiling fan for comfortable circulation.

Mini/travel versions of:
Mouthwash
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Deodorant

Bandaids
Razors
Shaving cream
Pads/tampons

Thanks for this tip! The clock idea is smart, didn't think of it!

I appreciate the digital clocks that can be seen in the dark, preferably with an alarm. (It's awkward to oversleep when you're not in your own house). Shabbos lamp, shaitel head, tissues, small garbage can.
Also tell me your "house rules". If you're ok with eating or drinking in the bedroom, where's the preferred way and place to dispose of dirty diapers.
