My daughters bat mitzvah is coming up and we’re a little confused as to what the right thing to do is-
We have a big house so we’ll invite all her friends and other girls her age to our backyard-
My daughters classmates are less frum so many of them have bat mitzvahs that are less Jewish oriented and more of alike a birthday party with secular music...
My daughter wants to have a “cool” bar mitzvah like the ones they have but I want hers to be a real Jewish bat mitzvah- Jewish environment, dj, maybe even a short hafrashat challah and a short speech.
We’ll obviously get nice clothes for her and we’ll all dress nicely and decorate the house with bouquets.
So basically my question is if anyone has ideas or activities to make a bat mitzvah “cooler” while still keeping it frum.
