Do you find it hard to navigate if you are both a teacher and parent in the same school? I didn't use to work in my kids' school. Being on the inside I see a lot more, the good and the bad. One thing that is particularly hard is that I form opinions about my preferences for which class my kids are in, and especially which teachers they have. Sometimes I feel strongly that I don't want a particular teacher to have my kid, sometimes I strongly want a specific teacher because I think they are the best fit for my child, and sometimes I am neutral (which is a relief, because then I'm not stressing about their placement).
I get really anxious about this because I don't find the quality or style of different teachers to be consistent at all and naturally I want what is best for my own kids.
