Along with washing hands with soap and not touching face.
How will having the flu shot protect me from corona?

From what I’ve seen it’s to prevent you from getting coronavirus on top of the flu with an already weakened immune system.

It's also to keep people from getting the flu and thinking they have coronavirus, especially if they end up in quarantine (or safek quarantine.)

It won't. But the idea is that every preventable case of flu takes resources that could be used for coronavirus patients. So if someone gets a bad case of flu and needs to be hospitalized, that's one hospital bed that might be needed for a coronavirus pt.

Ok, this answer makes the most sense. It's not like the flu shot is very effective, so the other answers didn't make sense to me. This explains how even a milder form of flu is helpful now.

It's a measure to ensure that your immune system is not compromised.
If you have the flu you are more susceptible at that point to other infectious diseases. People who get the flu or Coronavirus are at risk of developing pneumonia. Having pneumonia would then place you in the category of those who might have a more severe or fatal case of Coronavirus.
Flu shots are free and safe - certainly safer than actually getting the flu or chancing being more vulnerable when exposed to Corona.

I had the flu shot and caught the flu. Then from the flu caught bronchitis. Perhaps its so people don't catch corona after flu.
