I'm re-watching the beginning and where the narrator describes the absorption of parts of Poland into Russia, he says, "And so, Jews did not come to Russia, but Russia came to the Jews."

This remind's me of Yaakov Smirnoff's Russian reversal jokes. "In Russia, Party always finds you!"
