Can I hide a public Instagram account from my account?

Is there a way to hide/block a public Instagram account so that my kids can’t get on to that account? I’m ok if I won’t be able to access it either.

Yes.
You go into the individual account (the one that you want to block) click on the three dots on the top right corner and press block. Smile

(this is how you do it on an android not sure about iPhone but there's definitely a way to do it on both.)

Thanks. I thought that will block them from seeing me, but not me from seeing them.
