micki, I spoke to a rabbi bendet in stroudsburg, but he said that there are no minyanim or kosher food. I'll be sure to check out the places u mentioned. thanks so much. did u ever hear of chateau resort in tannersville? do u know if it's a decent place?

We went to Bushkill Falls when my daughter was about 3 months old in the beginning of the summer. My husband carried her in an infant backpack. It is a nature trail with a waterfall, very pretty. We stayed at the Fernwood Hotel: nice place but we got a horrible room. We davened at Scranton Yeshiva but I think it was far away. We may have also davened mincha at a Jewish Boys camp near there I think it was Raninu:

call to verify.

mommy912- raninu is a girls camp.
kosher food can be gotten in scranton (1/2 hour from the poconos) the nearest mikvah is there too.
