I was in shul on Yom Kippur and I saw a little girl (about 10-11) come in to daven. She walked to her mothers place (there is a sticker with the name on the table) and there was a 60ish year old lady sitting there. I guess she didnt know it was the girls seat but the girl didnt say anything. I didnt know if I should say something. After all that lady is about twice my age and how do I ask her to stand up for a 10 year old but then again. The mother of this child paid $100 for the seat.
What would you have done?

It was very respectful of the little girl. It's definately the way to spend Y"K is to let an elderly woman have your seat! The 10 year old is not fasting and anyhow, there are usually empty seats around.
I can understand that the mother may be upset, considering the seat was so expensive. Was the mother there? If not, you should tell her how she should be proud of her daughter! (they can possibly also ask the shul for a "refund" if it's a big deal)
