First, no debate here. Many of frum rabbis allow it. If yours don't, then don't listen!
Now... what's your style! Pop, rap, reggae, rock, classical...? What are your favorite singers? bands? songs?
Go!

songs:
Train- Drops of Jupiter
Bonnie Tyler-Total Eclipse of the heart
DH listens to some country music but I don't really care for it. Most of it is trashy. He is trying to quit.

as a teen I was a big Garbage and Spice girls fan. Now not so much anymore.
Let's see, I listen to: the old Blink 182 stuff, the old Britney stuff, some Celine Dion, evanescence, some Mary J Blige, some no doubt, sash!, shakira.... (bh I have my mp3s at hand to tell you;) )
I can list French stuff is anyone is into it.

Joe Cooker, Barbara (french) and Brel (french) are my fave but I'm enjoying random music aswell as long as it's not hard music.

Hey Ruchel, I love French music too! Maybe you can share some more contemporary favorites with me.
1. Classical: favorites are Mahler, Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Brahms, Wagner and Ives
2. Pop and Oldies: Beatles, Buddy Holly, The Comedian Harmonists, Die Fantastischen Vier, Die Prinzen, Edith Piaf, Serge Gainsbourg, Paris Combo, Simon and Garfunkel.
3. When I want to rock out: old Britney (I love Toxic!), Chicks on Speed and Le Tigre.

I like Piaf and Gainsbourg (when the lyrics aren't nauseating lol) too
A quick look in my french mp3s: Aznavour, balavoine, Eiffel 65, emile & images, florent pagny, brassens, gilbert bécaud, jean-jacques goldman, johnny hallyday, lena khan, marc lavoine, michel berger, michel fugain, sardou...
I also like having a good laugh with Choum's parodies

Re-french music, I'd add Patrick Bruel and the yearly music show of the Enfoires, that would give a good anthology and a great bouquet of good singers.
