I always buy tehini from ground sesame seeds to make techina dip or to mix in chummus.
This week I accidentally bought 2 tehini paste from whole sesame seeds. Is it the same. Will it taste the same to make a dip?

It will probably have a stronger sesame flavor (think brown rice vs. white rice) and more calcium.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm planning on using them to make a huge bath of techina for Purim. I hope it will be as good - or do you think I should exchange them for the ground sesame version.

It has a heavier, earthier taste. You would probably like to exchange it.

I did the same thing last week and it tasted different. It a as very strong and way darker. I would return it and buy the regular one.
