how far is yam hamelech from yerushalaim?
Is there a bus that takes you straight there and back?
Do the buses run all day?

I'm assuming you mean the area where all the hotels are.
there are busses that run pretty often during the day- you can pick up a schedule in tachana merkazit or call egged (they speak english). the bus ride takes between 1:30-2:00 depending on if it's express or not.

If you send an SMS to egged asking when is a bus from A to B they will send you the bus #s and times back in an SMS within seconds. I think it works in Eng.
You want to ask for Ein Gedi for the kibbutz or Ein Bokek for the hotel area (separate beach).
You can also go to egged.co.il but it is only readable in explorer, not in firefox.

There are no kings found in the water of the Dead-sea...
only salt!
therfore please call it from today on:
Yam HamelAch=salt
Forget about Melech=king.
