sounds like Tunisian tuna salad.

It's based on tinned tuna (oil better than brine/water). You basically add sliced olives, capers (it really adds flavor), chopped red onions, some people also add cooked and cut string beans. Chopped tomato (I prefer fresh but some people use tinned plum tomato) and I cheat and use store bought matbucha for the sauce.
