so last night was the production - finally after all that practice rain, snow fleet or hail - I actually enjoyed it immensely. Everyone was fabulous - it's nice to see how talented some of the girls really are - those were the days ... I have been in Cleveland for like 17 yrs and never went. They showed at the end black and white pictures that were real and also the play was based on true story and Telshe Yeshiva has some of the shul things that were brought from a Marietta, Oh shul where part of this play took place.

greenfire, I'm glad all the headaches were worth it! My dd is also practicing now for production. How do you get your dd not to neglect her schoolwork while practice is going on? It takes so much time out of the evening.

they were a little more careful with giving too much or any homework and also my dd does hw right away thus leaving time for everything else. Also - since the entire school was in production - it became an entire school practice both within and outside of school day.

The production was incredible. The girls really did a fantastic job. I think everyone who saw the girls perform last night was amazed at the talent these girls showed. I know that the people I talked to who did not have kids in production, said they really enjoyed it (of course, those with kids in the show enjoyed it).
TzenaRena: As far as homework, my dd did not have any to do during the month they were practicing for production.

thats nice that the no hw worked for you. my dd was not supposed to have any hw, but each teacher kept saying "but this is different" or "well, if you dont have it now, you will have more later".

the whole school was in this production too-its a very small school and all had multiple parts and and obligations like props, painting scenery, choir, etc...

Well then those teachers are just not fair and if everyone doesn't hand them in than they'll all need more time ... can this be done
