When I was a kid, in the late 60's/early 70's, we ate raisins on Tu Bishvat. Now I see all kinds of chazerei in the stores - dried kiwi.....dried mango, dried esrog?
Since when did it become the minhag to eat all kinds of fruits and nuts?

When I was a kid we tried having a shehechiyanu fruit, ate bukser (carob). Spoke about how we heard about some people who have a tu b'shat seder.
In high school some girls were careful to eat a bit of each of the shivas haminim.
