To accompany this gift of wallet and purse
But I didn't know quite where to start
So instead here are some words coming straight from my heart"
Go for it, shvigs, I have faith in you! And mazel tov!

You have to be married or previously married to be on this forum.

Thanks.
And if by some chance the kallah were here - sometimes there've been situations where I do wonder if the poem receiver could be here - I think she'd be touched by the thought. At least if she's good enough to be marrying amother's son.

You don't need to capitalize that, you know. (Honk.)

Don't worry, I'm ok, couldn't resist though
Enjoy your kallah, and the son who had the sense to choose this girl. Remember, she's infinitely more nervous than you about making the right impression.

I realllllly like pinkfridge's poem.
Otherwise.
Dear Kallah,
You've stolen my son's heart. Don't let anyone steal your purse.
With love,
Shvigs
OR
Dear Kallah,
A common saying is that you can tell a woman by what she carries. May this bag and your life be filled with something sweet, heartfelt prayers, gratitude, clean tissues, and so much more.
With love,
Shvigs
(And then you can put in the purse some candy, a pocket tehillim or teffilat chana, small packet of tissues, lip balm, and fun things like that!)

If writing isn't your strong point, don't use someone else's poem. It's pretty tacky for a gift, imo. Just write a few heartfelt lines wishing her a happy Chanuka and welcoming her to the family.

The ideas here are great. If you want something personal or specific, it would have to be written by yourself. If it doesn't sound like you, THAT'S tacky, but a few short sentences wishing her a happy chanuka in your own way is perfect.
What is wrong with the above suggestions? Saying that you're looking for more ideas but not explaining better what you are looking for or what is not good enough (I.e. fine tuning your request) is not going to get better responses.
