1- he did a very good job on my c section delivery
2- he went out of his way to come to my delivery even though he was not on call that day.

doing this off the cuff and at 3 am.. sorry if sounds rambly

Dear Doctor,

Nine months ago, I was pregnant; I was happy and rejoiced
Then I thought of the horror stories and fear, I wanted to run away
But you took my hand, and smiled at me then you calmly voiced
That pregnancy is not easy, and quickly comes the labor day

I thought that was awful, and horrible and mean
But you went on to comfort me, and remind me of my team
I calmed down and listed to you, and information I did glean
You reassured me that we would create a plan, a strategy and scheme

The months dragged on, and on and on and on
But you were truly patient, no matter what I fussed
You answered every question, night and day and dawn
You calmed me down and gained my respect and trust

And then came the day, we all were waiting for
I was scared, alone and was feeling truly frightened
Then you walked through the door
And I felt at ease, my outlook had brightened

You were not on call, yet you arrived
Helped out with my C-section
Dear doctor when I saw you, all my hope was revived
When you went, above and and beyond, this dear doctor is when you gained my gratitude and affection.

============

hope you enjoy, if things happened slightly different, I can help you change it around.

oh and congrats on your baby
