I washed my black sweater that has a white collar and cuffs in a dark load (bec I though the black would run if I did it in a light load) and the white came out grey!!
any advice on how to get the collar and cuffs white again??
thank you

You can try RIT color remover (sold in the same section as RIT dyes or in the laundry products aisle). It may cause the black to fade, though. You can also try applying diluted bleach directly to the collar and cuffs if you're VERY VERY careful, have very steady hands and nerves, and you rinse off immediately.
If that fails, try dyeing the whole thing black, and in the future, avoid like the plague garments with high-contrast trim unless the trim is removable or you are willing to dry clean the garment. My momma taught me that when I was a tadpole.
