Today I went to a clothing store at the mall.
I have seen a unixsex dressing room . Men >women <kids ,they
all share the SAME dressing room .When you walk in to the dressing room
their is along hallway of individual doors where men women and kids
can try on their clothing .

ew!
I have seen a dressing room for all women in Macy's (I think) and it was already nasty to see girls trying on trashy underwear... so, unisex, I can't even imagine...

They are not the same room. It is a hallway with rooms coming off of it. All stores that sell both men and womens clothing have this. Gap, banana republic, j. crew, H and M, etc.

Yeah, this is fairly common. Just to add to the list above, Old Navy also has this. It's not a mixed dressing room...You get your own private room!

I will say the same things that the amothers said but not under amother.
what is the big deal if it is not one big dressing room? you still have your privacy to change out of and into whatever you want ot need to.
to go look in the mirror, whats the big deal if a boy/guy sees you?

I think big communal changing rooms like loehmanns or foxes are worse. At least in unisex ones you get your own personal room!

Once was in a store with unisex fitting area, but individual booths. still creepy. what's to stop a tall guy from looking over the partitions? hate loehmann's fitting rooms, which may be why I almost never shop there. there's really no excise for the communal fitting rooms. even in the original store in the bronx 40 years ago there was ample space for individual booths--do they need to humiliate the customers to make them think they're getting a good deal?

All the stores I shop in have this setup. I have never thought twice about it! You get your own room, do your thing and leave. who cares?
I guess if I was checking myself out in the larger mirrors outside of the booth and a frum guy I knew walked by, it would be uncomfortable, but so far it never happened...

What up with Loehmans ? they can easily make seperate

also in my area Symms does this to the men ! like LOEHMANS !
one huge room open to men and boys !

Men don't care if they undress in front of each other, why should women? If you want to shop there and don't want to try on in front of other woman try on at home, If that is too inconvineient then grow up and try on the clothes. I promise the other women in the dressing room are not paying any attention to you, just make sure you listen to your mother's advice and always wear clean underwear.

I agree with chen.
Funny that of all places, in some frum stores in BP that sell tznius'dik clothing there were communal dressing rooms. My daughter didn't like it and was struck by the contradiction.

one is supposed to get dressed in a way that they are not exposed, whether or not there are people around.(see kitzur SA beginning chapters)
My own advice is to always wear a sleeved t-shirt and slip and full hose when you are going to try on stuff.
