hi
I am usually teaching secular subjects to kids aged 6-10, but I have recently started to learn chavrusa with a 14 year old girl (neviim, parshah etc.) and was asked to teach a 4 year old boy koydesh once a week. this boy has a jewish father and a non jewish mother. first I thought it is not ok to teach a halakhically non-jewish kid yiddishkayt, but since our rav set us up and he says that I may teach him EVERYTHING, I just do as I was told and the kid loves it!
so far we have learned for several months, and things progress nicely. we celebrated chanukkah together, we had a tu bishvat seder,we sang songs, coloured in pictures, I read middos-related stories to him, we crafted tseddakah boxes etc.
I want to start learning chumash with him... I thought to begin with avraham avinu.
I have no clue how to plan the lesson, though. the kids I usually teach are older
any idea is very welcome!!!
thx in advance

Tell him the story about Avraham Avenui when he was a little boy and discovered Hashem by himself and how he was watching his father's store and broke the idols.
