Well I went to the clinic last night and was dx'd with strep throat and an ear infection so we have a light schedule Wink

I leave in 15 minutes for an early morning 5K race with my 9 year old son, the baby, meeting my mother and father there (so she can race and he can watch the kids after the 9 year old runs the 1K).

Then we all will meet back at my parents and the kids march and ride bikes in their neighborhood parade, the old fashioned kind led by a neighborhood fire truck and followed by patriotic songs and the pledge of allegiance and then pony rides and popcorn.

In the evening we have a barbecue over at some friends' house.

How's that for an all-star 4th?

DH & I were supposed to gho out alone but he woke this morning with a stomach bug. I think I'll keep the baby with me & go shopping with mom. Then we were supposed to have a barbq tonight by my parents but their friends who were supposed to come, cancelled so maybe we'll cancel it esp if DH doens't wnat to eat.

And I was looking forward to a really nice day. Oh well.
