Any suggestions as to what my siblings and I can get for our mother's 50th birthday. looking for practical gift ideas in the 200$ range. We are looking to get her something useful that she would never get for herself (because of the price). TIA

how about a gift certificate or package to the spa? that's what we did for my mother's 50th birthday. also we collected 50 birthday cards (we tried to and almost got to 40 but it was with short notice) and we took her out for supper. after supper she opened all the cards and read them outloud!!
I don't know if you can do a gift and eat out also.
