I'm a teacher and 15 dollars could become a manicure gift certificate, which seems like a lot more than just 15 dollars. Just an idea Smile

I second the manicure idea.

Please not a #1 teacher mug ( I must have a pareve, milchig, and fleishig set Wink )

A new book cd or dvd is a nice idea too.

I give $18 gift certificate to a judaica/seforim store. Could actually buy a nice tape, book or judaica article for the house

I was able to get really good deals on kosher cookbooks from borders, b and n, and amazon, when they have deals...
Sign up for borders rewards- it's free and they often have 30 or 40 percent off one item and free shipping...

I give 18.00 in CASH in a card where I thank the teacher. Otherwise she has to worry if she ever gets audited (checks leave a paper trail).

What's wrong with getting an $18 check?
Is it illegal?

I think a $15 giftcard or cash is lovely. I gave my kids teachers that year that sort of amount to a make up store.

I would appreciate a cookbook, but not everyone uses them.
