Went to mikvah in a town I was visiting and got accused by the ML of being single and going to mikvah to have sx with my boyfriend because she didn’t recognize me
Went in the ocean while vacationing on a Greek island with my SIL watching me (that was actually a cool experience but definitely challenging- I had to climb over lots of rocks and go on a steep trail to get to the beach)

Physically during a cold wave. So slippery stairs outside.... Very dangerous.
Mentally... Lost a relative I loved I was in a blur but I wanted hugs. This was also a mikve lady who doesn't mesh with me so I had to look normal

I had to push mikva 6 weeks after an accident where I couldn't go to the mikva.
And it was after waiting 8 weeks pp .

During a major blizzard in which the governor declared a state of emergency and no private vehicles were allowed on the roads. The mikvah arranged for a driver (male!!!) with a 4 wheel drive vehicle to go around town and pick women up from the closest main street to their house, since side streets were not yet plowed, and we were all dropped off at the mikvah at the same time and then picked up and driven home. Not individually, but rather as a group - it was a slow drive due to road conditions. I was young and 6 weeks post partum so it was the first time going after having my baby. Leaving her for so long while nursing was very stressful and at the time I thought it was the most embarrassing thing ever to be in a car with other women and have "everyone" know I was going to the mikvah... With maturity I realize how nice it was for the mikvah to make these arrangements.

I haven’t gone to mikvah in 18 months due to nursing clean BH. In last 5 years, I went 5 times. Twice postpartum with my 4 year old. Once after I finished nursing him, got pregnant that cycle: and then twice after my baby now. So not used to mikvah altogether. Add to this, Friday night experience 😩. I really have no idea how I’ll do it. Mikvah is 15 min walk each way. |
I officially push off Friday night. I have very little tahor days and I'd rather be clean one less day than the stress Friday night comes along with.
