A....live fish?

I appreciate every single person who sends me mishloach manos, no matter how small, how humble, how odd.. it's the thought that's appreciated. But a live fish...sorry, but I would have handed it right back to the giver. I don't want to invest in a fishtank and supplies, and I don't want animals to suffer in my home.

So although you don’t really need major supplies for one or two goldfish (a clean big bowl or vase is fine , and one package of goldfish’s food is cheap ) one year guests showed up to our seudah dressed as fisherman and gave out goldfish in baggies to us and all our guests. I was not happy to have to deal with that while serving a seudah to many many guests at the end of a very long day. I told the guest I did not want to keep the fish they brought for us, another guest kindly took many of them home. I don’t know how long they lasted ….

A box of water!
It literally looked like a small white carton of milk but it said on it "boxed water is better." So I was like ok, let's try this boxed water thing.

It tasted like cardboard. Literally. So no, sorry, boxed water is not better.
I do appreciate the water as opposed to the can of soda, though. Just stick with a water bottle next time.

That might have been me. It was a neat look and worked with my shalach manos
Sorry it didn't taste good.

And when they say boxed water is better, they mean for the environment
