I have no idea what Darchei Sara is to be honest…
Lefties I’m wondering the same thing, maybe she has contacts??? Or maybe yashan is too far fetched for my daughter?
Foxglove, I don’t really want to share where my daughter is at school. No one knows about what we are thinking and until anything is final I don’t think it’d be smart to share sorry!! So yes American sems aren’t really in the picture. The question those is about the sems in Israel and what is best suitable for her. The info ur missing is in another post titled “sem instead of 12th grade possibility?”

Listen when I say sem I mean like the year after high school I’m really not looking to move my daughter to another school in 12th grade. It’ll make this whole situation way worse. I just wanted to know abt the after hs programs of maalot and bnot Elisheva. She IS finishing bagruyot. No matter what that is non- negotiable.

Then she may have to finish bagruyot through the ministry of education and get assigned to a random school to take it in, or wait till after school.

I am not so familiar with these schools but they probably would not be happy to hear she was taking bagruyot on the side, I would keep it a secret.

You'll have to get a tutor or she will have to self learn the material.

Elfrida that is so logical.
The biggest factor though is she is really unhappy currently at where she is. At where she is hashkafically, academically and socially. It’s not 1 or the other it’s in every possible way. She is lonely, stuck and unfulfilled.
So yes you are correct it may be better to wait a year, but so far all of last year she just became more unhappy, withdrawn, outspoken, and overall not her self. I didn’t realize sooner that she was acting like that because of her feelings at school.

As far as long term, she wants to marry a boy who also works and learns, maybe in early years he will learn more but not full time. She’s not sure if she’d be able to? But she can find that out at sem, she is still young. Religiously she wants to grow, she wants a good seriously frum home, black and white suit, black hated boy who learns and went to a good yeshiva. As far as a career she isn’t one hundred percent sure but she doesn’t want to sit at a computer all day like most girls from her school end up doing. She wants to do something like maybe psychology or smt ( NOT ONE HUNDERED PERCENT SURE) she wants to do something that helps people. when she was smaller she wanted to be an architect but idk abt now.
( the truth is regardless of what we plan or she wants Hashem is gonna send her on the Derech for her but I think she kind of has an idea of where she wants to be) does that explain it more. Maybe she is totally clueless and needs to think about her future more. Hat do you think?

LovesHashem, you think of everything!! And u are right. So first we have to get an ok from the ministry of education. Smile help. If all BEZRAZ HASHEM works out then she will do it automatically through her school, get the notes from classmates and teach herself most of the work. She anyways teaches herself and the principal is ok with it. Whatever she can’t teach herself or needs held the school is willing to provide her tutors for!!!
Which schools do u mean when u say that they wouldn’t be happy she’s taking bagruyot on the side?

I’ve heard lots of bad things about rinas, like only ever heard bad, which the things I heard made me feel a bit uncomfortable abt looking into rinas, but what do you have to say about it, I’m happy to hear.

But how???
The menahelet is willing to let her be a 12th grader at her current school and a sem student if all works out? Isn’t that good?

Also then she won’t get a Magen, and all sorts of stuff where as if she stays and does whatever this is she could get.

So that’s the whole issue otherwise we’d all be dancing Andy daughter would be on her way to sem and finishing 12th grade. So now the principal is gonna have to get an ok from misrad havhinuch. ( as I’m writing this I get a sinking feeling the answer is gonna be a big fat no)

I'm not sure how that would work. What seminary would agree to having her skip half the classes?

It's 20-30k USD, like all sems it's probably closed registration 6 months ago, and the girls come from background that watch movies and stuff, talk about boys etc. It's modern orthodox.

I thought your daughter didn't want that vibe?

I'm confused, you want her to be registered in her high school but not go to any classes? And just take bagruyot there? I mean why do that when she can register and take bagruyot somewhere else anyway. Why stress about it and rely on this principal who clearly doesn't have her best interests at heart?

I keep forgetting none of you were at the meeting haha!
Basically the cards on the table are either:
We look into doing chedvas hours and when she isn’t doing chedvas classes she’ll take her high school work and do that, or have tutors.
That is if we get a yes and everything.
OR
we wait out 12th grade- she’ll get special hashkafa classes with other girls( NOT WHAT SHE WANTS) and get to take on classes and do subjects that take 4 years in 1 like for eg if she does graphics. HOWEVER what abt the rest of the time that she’s wasting walking around being bored and unfulfilled and what abt recess and after school. She will be so unhappy. And the only thing she says she’ll enjoy is davening. But anyways she doesn’t really wanna do those extra classes coz if she wanted to she would have done them last year. This is the second option if nothing works out.
That means she’ll have more time and everything to look into sems and everything and “ potentioanl better or whatever” options.
But she told me she thinks it’s such a chaval that’s it her last year and she really will be unhappy. 9th, 10th, and 11th she has been unhappy. Now that I know why how can I continue to leave her in the situation that causes it?
